Ziah Colon enjoys hiking

Ziah is of Puerto Rican decent, however, she was raised in a suburb just outside of Atlanta. Growing up she spent most of her time performing for family and friends. As she got older she decided to participated in her high school drama club and once she graduated decided to pursue acting as a career.

Ziah Colon began her professional acting career in 2001. She then began studying at The Company Acting Studio under Lisina Stoneburner. Ziah quickly began appearing in local theater, despite constant commercial and film auditioning she was told that her ethnically ambiguous appearance was not what the industry was looking for. In 2008 she signed with her agent Jayme Pervis of J Pervis Talent Agency. She finally felt that she had an agent that believed in her and saw her ethnic ambiguity as an advantage. Ziah booked steadily in commercials as well as roles in Lifetime's Army Wives & Drop Dead Diva. In 2009 she won the role of Sujatmi in the comedy Road Trip:Beer Pong, playing a Middle Eastern auto emergency telephone operator, opposite Danny Pudi. In 2010 Ziah won her largest role to date as Rusty Rodriguez in Footloose.

In her spare time, Ziah enjoys hiking, reading plays, and spending time with her family where there is never a dull moment.
